Warning!!! Google "Engine and Transmission World" Beware!!!

Read the complaints; they are crooks, they will rip you off.

Located in Milwaukee, WI. Mark Dobrenko and Allen Simmons are the owners and have been ripping people off for decades. They will send you a junk engine or transmission knowing you will want to return it but they charge you a 25% restocking fee then turn around a sell it to the next poor fool and so on and so on.

They are currently under investigation and federal prosecution by the Wi. US DOJ. Once they are convicted I am going to research filing a class action against them. In the mean time I am going to try filing a case in small claims court.

Tell a friend.

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

After the purcase we went online an read all the complaints so the next day we called to stop order they wouldnt stop it so when transmition arivied we rejected the order it was sent back to southwest transmions . At this point are finanial visa company is seeing the truth of this online scam . Dont buy from this company

Guest

I was about to order a transmission from southwest transmissions,

( S W transmissions?), and decided to do a company profile search with the BBB. To dismay I stumbled upon negative reviews about the company name engine and transmission world, aka ????

sw engines, southwest engines, quality used transmission, etw, engine last industries.

Does anyone have any insight to if all these companies are linked together by the same scamming agency or if the South West Engines/ Transmission has any ligetimatcy to there on line operations. Please Help!

It looks like Engine and Transmission World are the same as SWtransmissions. I did a quote on both and ended up with the same results on each one separately. I am glad I ran across this site of reviews before I ordered today. Like I have always been told, if it is to good to be true, it most likely is.

Thanks

Ed

Thanl you to all of you out there who wrote about your bad experience with EATW/ A.K.A. South West Engines.

If I had the money before reading these complaints, I would have purchased the very much needed 2003 Dodge Intrepid engine from these scam artist. They put it on thick with there false promise of 3 year parts and labor warranty. I am grateful to God that my mechanic warned me to check out any internet company selling motors, before buying any. When I started doing some research I first called these guys and was unable to get a straight answer about engine warranties/ restocking fee's, etc....

I did a BBB search and found 287 complaints, then did a google search and found this Forum.

You all have saved me a great deal of heart ache and money I don't even have. Thank You Sooooooo Much!!!!!!

EATW is the worst. I was ripped off also.

They are so rude.

I wish I had never heard of them. Someday they will get whats coming to them.

Are you looking for a replacement of your old engine or transmission? Engine and Transmission World

I too am a victim of ETW. Ordered a CR-V engine, tested and with "55K" miles on it.

Had it installed and it had a burned valve on #3 cylinder. Have been fighting with ETW and VISA now for 5 months. All this time I have not had a running car. I have put it into arbitration with VISA now two times and am waiting for the second verdict.

Just now starting to find a lawyer.

It is time this stopped. IF there is a collective law suit in the works I am interested in joining.

Hi Eric,Please let me know if it is OK to use your experience with EATW to be posted on You Tube etc. Thanks,Paul Miller mill1546@***.net

I bought an engine from engine world and they lied to me stating they sent my engine but never did...isn't that called a scam and fraud. How is our government allowing this to continue?

If the FBI,doj, state can't do anything about these crooks what do we do?

They owe me $2,300 and my car is still at the dealership waiting for the engine. They won't return my car and have not paid the warrant...if there is someone at the wi attorney general office that will put a warrant out for there arrest and freeze there assets so all the customers they scamed can get there refund...please help.

Hello,

We are in the process of producing videos of the complaints about this company. I was taken for over $5,800.00. There would be no charge to you. We will do the video which will go on You Tube, Twitter etc.. If you would like to be included, please contact me at: 678-978-****,

or email me at: mill1546@***.net

I feel this is the only inexpensive way to expose this company.

Thanks,

I needed a motor for my son's 2001 LR Discovery II. I found one at Engine and Transmission World advertised with only 43K miles and Carfax certified for $1995.00 completely tested and ready to install.

If I had only done just a little research; googled Engine and Transmission World I would have been warned by the endless list of previously victimized customers having been ripped off by Mark Dobrenko and Allen Simmons co-owners and *** bag *** artists. Unfortunately at the time I was naive and trusting and I order the motor hoping to get my son's car back on the road again asap. When the motor arrived is was wrapped in plastic wrap and looked decent from the outside but as soon as I unwrapped it I could see that those crooks had just painted over all the dirt grease and rust with silver spray paint to fool you into accepting it from the shipper. I remover the valve covers and I was shocked and disgusted to find the entire valve train completely incased in solidified sludge.

I immediately contacted EATW with my findings and displeasure and was literally told "You can go *** yourself" and if I wanted to return it I would have to pay the shipping charges and pay them an additional $500.00 for a restocking fee. Thats when I started doing my research and found that this is how EATW runs their business; by sending out bad engines and transmissions that will have to be returned for the 25% restocking fee and then sending out the same junk over and over coning victim after victim. I too have contacted the BBB and US DOJ in Milwakee, Wi. with my story and filed my complaint.

The BBB has sent a response letter telling me that EATW will not respond to their emails or calls and that they have received over 500 similar complaints in the last 3 years. I have also talked with a prosecutor at the US DOJ and they have a mountain of evidence against these crooks that they have broken other laws including tax evasion and many others. If you have been victimized by these crooked bastards please contact the BBB in Wi. and Erin Morgan at the US DOJ in Milwaukee, Wi.: erin.morgan@***.gov.

Also please help spread the word about Mark Dobrenko and Allen Simmons on every social network site you are on ie YouTube Facebook etc. etc. etc.

and hopefully these guys will be taking it in the rear in prison like they have been doing to everyone their whole lives. Thank you.
