I have purchased several engines from this company in the past four years. They are offered with warranty in bold writing all over the homepage of their website.

This warranty is covered by a separate company. I was told that I would hear from them with 3 days. After weeks of no contact and repeated phone calls, I gave up. Six months later I received and odd cryptic email with a vague reference to an "unresolved warranty issue with my shop".

I responded asking for clarification and had no idea it was from the engine purchase. I got no response and found a phone# and left a couple of messages. Again, in time I quit trying to figure it out. Two months later the engine failed and we tried to submit a claim and were told we had not activated the warranty.

It took some time to sort out but we finally put the two events mentioned above together and realized what the email was for. I called both E&T and the warranty company to talk about the situation in both cases was instantly met with vulgar hostility. I could not even get far enough into a conversation to ask a question. It clearly ranks as one of the most despicable displays of customer no service we have ever experienced.

It was rehearsed and consistent. There is no question in my mind that it was purposeful. We went back on a couple other purchases and found the same pattern of long delays and disguised text.

It appears today that they may be out of business. Hmmmm, ...wonder why?

Monetary Loss: $5600.
